Cynthia, portrayed by Stefanie Butler, is a minor character in the first season of Stranger Things. She is the current girlfriend of Lonnie Byers.

History

Background

Cynthia began dating Lonnie Byers at some point after his divorce from Joyce Byers.

1983

Following the disappearance of Joyce and Lonnie's youngest son Will, Hopper advised Joyce to call Lonnie, as missing children are often found with a family member or relative. However, when Joyce called, Cynthia picked up instead.

Lonnie's older son Jonathan later drove out to Lonnie's place to look for Will. Cynthia had a brief interaction with Jonathan, opening the door for him.
