"Stranger Things Day" is the annual celebration of Stranger Things, organized by Netflix as part of their promotional strategy. Stranger Things Day is held on November 6, the day Will Byers went missing in the show's first season.
The first ever Stranger Things Day was announced on November 1, 2018 via a special trailer released across the show's social media accounts.[1]
For 2024, Netflix launched "Stranger Season", no longer "just celebrating on Nov. 6". Stranger Season encompasses both Stranger Things Day and a wider set of Stranger Things-themed events and product releases throughout the fall months.[2]

2018
- The first ever Stranger Things Day was held on November 6, 2018.
- A special video from the set of the third season was posted on the show's social media accounts, showing several cast members wishing fans a "Happy Stranger Things Day".
- The Stranger Things attraction at Universal Studios was re-opened in celebration of Stranger Things Day.
2019
- The long-awaited blooper reels for all three seasons were released.
- The title for the first episode of the fourth season was revealed as "The Hellfire Club".[3]
2020
- A graphic for "The Hellfire Club" was released.
2021
- The fourth and final 'teaser' for Season 4 was released.
- The other episodes from Season 4 had their titles revealed.
- An artwork depicting the Stranger Things world was released.
2022
- "Papa" and "The Piggyback" from Stranger Things 4 were screened at select theaters across the United States.
- It was announced Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales would become exclusively available via Netflix.
- An immersive online watch-party for "The Vanishing of Will Byers" was hosted over Roblox.
- Stranger Things VR was announced.
- A "Superfan Trivia" video featuring Megan Thee Stallion was posted on social media.
- The title for the first episode of the final season was revealed as "The Crawl".[4]
2023
- A featurette for Stranger Things: The First Shadow was released.
- Behind the scenes images from the first four seasons were posted to Instagram by Ross Duffer and the official Stranger Things and Netflix accounts.
- "The Vanishing of Will Byers" was streamed all day on Netflix’s TikTok account.
- It was announced that Stranger Things content would return to Dead by Daylight.
- Eleven, Chief Hopper and the Demogorgon became purchasable on Fortnite for a limited period.
- It was announced that Stranger Things VR will feature voice acting by Jamie Campbell Bower and Matthew Modine and would be released on November 30, 2023.
- However, on November 22, Tender Claws, the developers of Stranger Things VR, announced the game would no longer release on November 30. The game was ultimately released on February 22, 2024.
- The very beginning of the script for "The Crawl" was revealed by @strangerwriters.
2024
For 2024, Stranger Things Day became part of a larger promotional effort by Netflix called "Stranger Season".

Stranger Season 2024
- Various "Six Flags" theme parks across the US hosted Stranger Things-themed attractions.
- Ghostbusters, The Thing, The Shining, and Poltergeist (some of the films that inspired Stranger Things) were screened at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. The screening series concluded with a free special fan event and screening of "Trick or Treat, Freak".
- Various new merchandise was released, including plushes, jewellery and Halloween costumes.
- A new run of comics from Dark Horse Comics, Stranger Things x Dungeons & Dragons: The Rise of Hellfire, was announced for a February 2025 release.[6]
2025
- A trailer for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 was released.
- The show was announced to return to Fortnite.
- Gap celebrated the launch of the fifth and final season with an all-new Gap x Stranger Things capsule, the perfect gift for members of the series’ fandom this holiday season.[7]
- A global fan event and the first five minutes of the fifth and final season was released.[8]
