President SmithStatementI, PresidentSmith609 would like to apply for the post of Discussion Moderator for the Stranger Things Wiki. In the coming time, the wiki is about to be more active due to the release of Season 5 and other projects in the Stranger Things Universe. So I would like to volunteer to help & moderate the fandom community with my best intentions and knowledge. Being an active member for the past 4 years, I am well vested with the community and have and have proficiency in the English language. Thus, I hope that my application is accepted.

Even though I have joined the wiki about around a month ago, I have watched Stranger Things since its release of the first season and hold a deep love and interest for the show. I've created some pages upon the release of the fifth season, as well as editing any pages that required change prior to that. I'm also a content moderator and administrator on two separate wikis, so I have experience with moderator/administrator powers, so I have the gist of how it would work out on this wiki as well. On the wiki I'm an administrator in, there's a lot of vandalism and misinformation, and if such activity occurs on this wiki, the moment I get on FANDOM and see it, I'd be one of the first ones to revert it and take appropriate action as needed, or alert one of the admins, in the case that I'm a content moderator, as I do on the other wiki. Thank you for this opportunity I have been given to apply for the role, and I hope to see this wiki cherish in the days ahead! signed, BobNewby78StatementI would like to apply for discussion moderator of the Stranger Things Wiki. I have been a member of this wiki for a couple of years now and have enjoyed reading other people's opinions as well as posting my own. Also, Season 5 Volume 1 just came out, and the wiki has been pretty active as a result and will probably continue to be as Volume 2 and the finale roll out in a few weeks, so I would love to help moderate it. The two main things that I hate to see on online communities (not just FANDOM, other communities as well like subreddits) is misinformation/propaganda and people acting uncivil. Seeing these things happening so much bothers me, and if I were a discussion moderator I would try my best to take appropriate action in these situations, whether that means locking a post, deleting a post, or contacting admins if it's something out of my abilities (e.g. issuing a ban). Thank you for this opportunity, and I look forward to contributing to the community!
